Future Planning
When planning your future it is important that you have goals, and milestones set to track your progress towards your BHAG. A BHAG is a big hairy awesome goal, the one at the end of your journey that seems almost impossible to reach. It is important to always be working towards something, to always be moving forward. This helps us to always be improving ourselves, and avoid becoming stagnant.

Reflection
For the artifact I chose above, I outlined a career plan of mine. This really put into perspective what I needed to do to accomplish my goals. It is important to understand what your end goal is, and exactly what you need to do to reach it. Otherwise you will be ill prepared to pursue your BHAG, and likely will not make it. A career plan, or any kind of detailed list for future aspirations is a great tool for leaders to take advantage of.
