Ethical Communites

Ethical communities involves an organizations views on ethics and values. An organizations ethics and morals are directly tied the the organizations soul itself. "Many would scoff at the notion that an organization possess a soul, but there is growing evidence that a bedrock sense of values and identity is a critical element in long-term success." (Bolman 2017). The ethical communities of organizations can make or break its success. Leaders who know how to uphold a strong sense of ethics and pass that importance down to his followers can build an organization onto of a solid foundation.

Leaders should value putting an emphasis on ethics within their communities. This creates a strong foundation for employees to build off of. This also creates an environment of honest and trust. Leaders who show respect to their employees by creating this kind of environment are shown the same respect and honesty in turn. Like stated above, this has been shown to be critical for an organizations long term success. I think that this is one of the most important frames we have discussed and studied in this program.
